Terms

Effective 17 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Bogdan-Florin Cutur, who runs Uphill. By creating an account, you accept them. Please also read the Privacy policy.

1. Who can use Uphill

You must be at least 16, and each account is for one person. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account.

2. What Uphill is, and is not

Uphill is a tool for recording what you own and owe and following it over time, alone or alongside people you invite.

  • It is not financial, investment or tax advice. Nothing in Uphill is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything.
  • Figures can be wrong. Estimates, market valuations and exchange rates are approximations from published data that may be late, incomplete or mistaken. Do not rely on Uphill for decisions where accuracy matters.
  • Data providers and sources: Market data is provided by Twelve Data. Foreign exchange reference rates are published by the European Central Bank (ECB). Residential property price statistics are published by the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) and contributing national central banks and statistical offices. These organisations do not endorse, sponsor, or guarantee Uphill or any figure displayed.
  • Uphill holds no money and has no connection to your bank or broker.

3. Your data

What you record is yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run Uphill for you — including showing the categories you choose to the members of a competition you join. You can export your figures and delete your account at any time.

4. Competitions and your circle

  • A competition is between its members. Uphill does not hold stakes, run prizes, or settle anything between you.
  • Figures another member discloses to you are theirs. Do not copy or share them outside Uphill without their permission.
  • Invite only people you know and who would expect to hear from you.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • send unwanted or bulk invitations, or harass anyone;
  • use someone else's account or pretend to be someone else;
  • scrape, overload or attack Uphill, or work around its limits or its disclosure rules;
  • use Uphill for anything unlawful.

6. Free and Premium

Uphill has a free plan and a Premium plan. Features in each may change. Premium cannot be bought yet. Before it can, its price, billing and your right to cancel will be shown to you, and nothing will be charged without your agreement. Any Premium given for testing is temporary and may end.

7. Changes and availability

Uphill is a young service. We may change, pause or stop features, and it may sometimes be unavailable. If we ever close Uphill, we will give you notice and time to export your data.

8. Ending your account

You can delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law or someone's safety prevents it.

9. Liability

Uphill is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from reliance on figures shown in Uphill, or for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

10. Changes to these terms

When these terms change in a way that matters, the date above changes and Uphill asks you to accept the new version before you carry on.

11. Law

These terms are governed by Romanian law. If you live elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of the consumer law where you live, and you may bring a claim there.
